Gillian’s Closet – The Finale
Load-in Day…What should have been a happy day for all, turned into a major power struggle between my daughter and I. I had started loading some things in so I could get some cute photos before everything was loaded in. She was fine with that, but quickly wanted to pile all the “baby stuff” on the top shelf of the closet even though there was plenty of room on the corner shelves. The goal was to make the closet look good even when it was loaded. I thought it was so cute to be able to display some of her toys and photos that she no longer wanted in her room. 75% of the closet was available for her to do whatever she wanted with it. I just wanted to utilize some of the space on the open shelves. One of my goals was to take some things I was storing in my closet and move them to hers to open up some space in mine. Luckily, after some initial sulking she came around. Ultimately, there was no need for her to be upset because there still is plenty of unoccupied space in her closet and a ton of empty drawers in her dressers! I am completely amazed by this closet transformation and the amount of storage space that it has added. Honestly, it was worth every penny. She has plenty of room to grow into the closet and I still have plenty of space to sneak some more things into it.
